Brad, Carolyne, Joel, Nathan, Micah and Cooper. That's our family! One dad, one mom, THREE sons and one kitty. We love God and try to live lives that are pleasing to Him. We will use this blog to keep you updated on the family that God has blessed us with, to share our struggles, our joys, our laughter and tears and to share how God is working in us and through us.

Sad Sunday : (
You can't really tell by the looks on our faces but it was a sad day! Holland lost the World Cup final to Spain and we spent our last afternoon with our friends, Jen and Aaron, Katie and Luke. What can I say but that we already miss them!

Goodbye, Goodbye! Good friends, goodbye.

On Friday night we had the joy of hosting a party for our dear friends, Jen, Aaron, Katie & Luke. Over the years we have gotten to know them through church, Bible study, being close neighbours and through our common interests (soccer for the guys and moving for Jen and I) - I know, moving shouldn't be a common interest but I just have to say, we really understood each other. Jen became my running partner, my Starbucks/Esquires buddy and most of all a person I could really talk to, cry with and laugh with. Their family has touched so many lives and will continue to do so in their new adventure as they head east to Alberta tomorrow. We are all going to miss you. We'll be praying for you, calling you and eventually making a road trip to come see you! Thank you for your friendship and support over the years.
We love you guys.

Almost-Cousins!
Karina and Auntie Sylvia were here all the way from St.Louis for a visit! Karina is actually Brad's cousin but the boys just LOVED her and made her one of theirs : ) We miss you Karina! Really... she would've been a great babysitter!

It's time for a new post!
Unfortunately I am at work though so the pictures will have to wait! I've actually taken some pictures lately - of the boys too - not just flowers and food!
We have been very busy lately. Brad has been constructing our new deck which is now officially open to the public, especially friends and family!! We have a bit of painting to finish up, soffits to install, concrete to pour and posts to replace (for the cover). But it is usable and we have a new little "conversation set" so come on over, have a cup of coffee with me and converse! The kids can play in the yard on the new playset or in the kiddie pool, IF it EVER warms up enough!!
Will summer ever really arrive?? I feel like I have been waiting for so long! I know, I'm complaining, I'm impatient, but come on! I'm not asking for 40 degrees like last year - that was just crazy - but a day warm enough for the kids to get wet and me to get some use of all my summer maternity clothes would be great! Speaking of, we have just under 3 months before we welcome this 3rd kid into our home! I have a feeling these last weeks are going to fly by. We have a busy few months ahead with company coming, a 'vacation' to PG and a week of VBS.
Continued... a week later!
So the week warmed up, we enjoyed a few days of summer and have been busy!! New pictures will come, especially now that we've had some fun outside!
