Not Much To Say

I don't really have anything to say. Nathan has not rolled over again so I think it was a fluke. He got his second tooth on the 15th. They're pretty cute. He's still chewing on EVERYTHING and drooling like crazy so I can probably expect the top ones in the near future. We are living in fog right now. We get short glimpses of sun once in awhile but Joel's been sick again so we haven't been going outside. By the time I would be ready to get outside it would be foggy again anyway so it's really no use.
I'm really bored. I have no motivation and don't really know what to do with myself and the kids during the day. We got out to Moms&Tots today - always love seeing the other moms and kiddos there - and have started going to Thursday morning Bible study for something else to do. It's nice to get to know some other ladies in the church, outside of my circle of friends. It's also good to learn more about Jesus. We are studying some of the parables. They are such familiar stories that it's good to bring them back to life and to see how they apply to our lives today.

The weigh in

Yesterday was the big 4 month doctor's appointment. I learned that our kid is still in the 100th percentile. He's huge!! He weighs 18 lbs 12 oz and is 27" long. Joel was 18 lbs 14 oz but his appointment was a week after he turned 4 months so they're pretty much the same, although Nathan has been gaining slower believe it or not as he started out over a pound heavier! Nathan also rolled over from his tummy to his back for the first time on Sunday. He is also spending time in the exersaucer and he loves it!! We have to start the Jolly Jumper soon, I just wish we had a place to put it downstairs!
Joel is doing well too. He has quit napping which makes me kind of annoyed as nap time was a great time for me to get stuff done and just have some alone time. He is no longer a toddler. I am thinking of looking into preschools for him but with me going back to work in September I'm not really sure how it's going to work out. He has already become a very good counter, knows his alphabet and can sing a number of songs - Kids In America, being a favourite. He has a funny little sense of humour and loves being the center of attention. He told me the other day that I should put Nathan back in my tummy - I'm sure he was joking :\ except he mentioned it again....
We are loving our new van - how did I ever live without heated seats?! We are growing out of our townhouse but I guess we'll just have to make it work a while longer. I don't know where the next few years will take us, we're just living day by day, trying to enjoy time because we all know, it goes way too fast.

Happy 2009!

It was so nice to be up in winter. We enjoyed a Raclette to bring in the new year (although not all of us made it to ring in 2009). It was a very different holiday season this year, as many of us dealt with illnesses, super cold and super snowy weather and as we mourned the loss of great man. We were happy to spend lots of time though with the PG clan. The kids are changing so fast - why do I not have any pictures of my sweetie, Noah or Josh for that matter?? We played in the snow, we opened presents, we ate and ate and ate and we rocked out with some Rockband 2. I learned that I am an awful drummer but can carry a tune on the easy mode:) Whatever!
So today is already the 10th of January. We are well into birthday season and I am looking forward to a trip to Edmonton as well as a ski trip to Big White. I am on the record as saying Joel is officially potty trained, with the odd accident now and then (sorry Nikki!!) and Nathan is 4 months old today and his first tooth broke through. Bottom right - just what I thought. Anyway, January has started. I am looking forward to some sunshine.

Up, up and away!!

We headed up to PG for New Year's this year. That is not our plane in the background but we flew up on one JUST like it (green too). I am not a fan of propeller planes and will not likely use this airline again until they get bigger planes!!! Although I have to say, the one good thing - I had decent leg room and the guys on the tarmac were nice to Joel! I can't remember ever walking on the tarmac at YVR before.

A morning with the fishies

On Dec. 30 we were treated to a day at the aquarium. My friend Andrea had passes that expired the next day, so Joel, Nathan and I, as well as Jen and Katie, braved the snowy Vancouver streets and met up with Andrea and Isabella for a morning of silliness with the kids. The three of them loved it there! We got to see the baby beluga again (no lineup this time:)! We had a great time and it was so nice to catch up with friends.
